Your SkillWorks Journey
We can help you identify the skills your workforce will need to meet your individual business needs. The first stage is to find out whether your business is an SME: that is a small or medium – sized enterprise and whether you are based in Merseyside. This may qualify you for additional support under various programmes co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Learning and Skills Council (LSC). You will find details in the Eligibility section.
Even if you are not an eligible SME (for example you may have 250+ employees or are a subsidiary of a major corporation) skills development and training is still available through the SkillWorks team.

The SkillWorks Gateway team aim to get you on the first stage of the SkillWorks journey. They are not there to sell you a training programme or advise who would be an appropriate training partner but they will guide you to people who know how to answer your questions and come up with solutions and this may be the LSC’s independent Train to Gain service or a SkillWorks training partner. The SkillWorks is demand led and that means it’s your choice.
Train to Gain brokers and SkillWorks Training Providers will help you to analyse the skills your business needs, find the best value training programmes for you and advise you on any financial support available.
